Applications are invited for the following posts:

Senior Technical Officer (holding the functional title of Technician) in the Department of Mechanical Engineering (Ref.: 201700490) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)

Applicants should possess a recognized Degree/Higher Diploma or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline with a good command of written and spoken Chinese and English. They should possess relevant post-qualification work experience in the industry and/or tertiary education. Experience in CNC programming, 3D printing and/or workshop machining is preferred. Basic knowledge of personal computer is required. They should also be self-confident, able to work in a team and independently, and eager to learn how to operate new equipment. The appointee will provide comprehensive technical services in teaching and research activities, laboratory and safety management, equipment procurement and maintenance. He/She will prepare and maintain technical documentations; offer technical assistance to students; maintain inventory records; and perform other duties as assigned.
